The latest Art @ Your Library exhibit features local artists Peggy Jo Brekke and Merlan Marting. Please join us for the opening reception on Friday, Sept. 1, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
This exhibit will display through Sept. 26 during regular library hours. Artworks in this exhibit are also available for purchase.
About the Artists
- Painter and illustrator Peggy Brekke sharing artworks themed around nature, animals and people. Brekke hopes the viewer of her artworks appreciate light, color, and expression of hope in her pieces.
- Merlan Marting is a wood carver. Shortly after retirement and closing Marting’s Shoes, he began carving wood objects. While carving miscellaneous wood pieces, forms began to take shape into walking sticks, canes, birds, and animals.
