Every other month, the library features the work of local artists or a local artist group in the historic rotunda for the Art @ Your library® exhibit. The exhibit is open to the public during regular library hours. Works of art are also available for purchase.
The overall theme of this latest art exhibition is nature and features local artists Gary Fagan, Lyndal Anthony, and Joan Overhouse. This exhibit is on display in the historic rotunda on the second floor from August 5-Sept. 26. Please join us for an Artist Reception on Friday, August 19, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to meet the artists, purchase available artworks, and enjoy light refreshments.
Gary Fagan is an award-winning wildlife photographer. He hopes that his photos will touch and inspire others to appreciate and care for the world around them.
Lyndal Anthony is wood turner. He uses a variety of wood species to create beautiful and unique pieces.
Joan Overhouse also does wood turning and specializes in wood burning, or pyrography, which is the art of burning intricate designs into wood. You can see her designs on many of Anthony’s wood-turned pieces.
