The latest Art @ Your Library exhibit features local artists Lyndal Anthony, Catherine Basten, A. Alanda Gregory, and Joan Overhouse. There is an opening reception on Friday, Feb. 3, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Meet the artists and enjoy music by the Northeast Iowa School of Music JazzQ along with light refreshments.
This exhibit is on display from Feb. 3-March 22; it is free and open to the public during regular library hours. Artworks are also available for purchase.
About the Artists:
Catherine Basten is a wildlife painter. Her watercolors depict nature at its best and bring animals to life on canvas.
A. Alanda Gregory is a local media entrepreneur and a novice abstract artist and enthusiast.
She specializes in stone wrapping jewelry and recycling old jewelry into intentional accessories, offering a depth of colors and designs.
Lyndal Anthony is an experienced woodturner. He crafts unique, decorative pieces and enjoys teaching the skill of woodturning to others.
Joan Overhouse is versed in the art of pyrography, or wood burning. She collaborates with her partner Lyndal Anthony to embellish his turnings with pyrography and water colorings.
