BrainFuse HelpNow is an on-demand, anytime, anywhere learning platform for all ages. Access this suite of learning resources with your Dubuque resident library card and create a free account to get started. Services include expert academic tutoring and self-study tools to empower users to study at their own pace or collaborate with peers and teachers. Here is an overview of the main features:
Live Tutoring
Receive real-time online tutoring for homework help, skills building, and test preparation. Live tutors are available daily from 2-11 p.m. Students communicate with live tutors using an interactive whiteboard to chat, write, draw, copy/paste text or images, and graph homework problems. All live tutoring sessions are saved and can be replayed any time from your account or shared with friends and teachers by email.
Writing Lab
Submit papers through the Writing Lab at any time and receive detailed feedback within one business day. If you need help with something else outside of live tutor hours, use the Send Question feature to submit an inquiry and receive a response within one business day. Your account Message Center stores all comments and reviews you receive from tutors.
Full-Service Test Center & Study Tools
Brainfuse also offers a full-service test center with practice tests for all levels in math, reading, and writing. You can also find practice tests for the ACT, GED, and SAT.
Using the LEAP™ feature, you can create a learning plan and build academic skills through targeted lessons, quizzes, and online tutoring.
Flashbulb™ gives you access to an extensive library of flashcards in hundreds of subjects. You can also create your own flashcards and share them with others.
Collaboration Tools
Schedule a live online study group session with friends and instructors with the MEET™ feature. Invite anyone you like, they do not need to be BrainFuse users to attend or use the interactive meeting whiteboard. Additionally, you can record whiteboard activity with the Brainwave™ tool, and then save and email it to others for feedback.
Adult Learning Center
Adult Learning Center is the adult learners’ platform where users can access High School Equivalency prep, US Citizenship test prep, resume assistance, Microsoft Office support, and Career Resources. You can find the Writing Lab, Send Question, and Skills Building in the Adult Learning Center suite too.
