Readers of Dubuque, Let’s Party!
In January we invited you to join INSPIRE YOUR SHELF, the NEW Yearlong Adult Reading Challenge at Carnegie-Stout Public Library. Well, we have an exciting update – all adult readers are invited to join us for a party! On Wednesday, May 27 we’ll be gathering in the third floor Auditorium for the Inspire Your Shelf Fresh Start Party from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. It’ll be an evening of fun, snacks, and good books.
Do you have too many books at home? Bring one (or two!) and swap it in in a book exchange. We want you to share your favorites with a new friend, and maybe bring home a new book or two for yourself.
Don’t forget to bring your Inspire Your Shelf paper log to make sure you have your reading reported for February – May and collect all of the stickers you’ve earned. We’ll also have an exclusive early pick-up of the June – August log. (Which means party attendees get a sneak peak at this year’s Adult Summer Reading program!) If you’ve been tracking in Beanstack, be sure to join the Plant a Seed, Read! summer challenge, and we’ll automatically collect your logs and enter you for the weekly prize drawings this summer.
Did you already forget about the snacks? We didn’t! We’ll have light refreshments and mocktails available and we encourage you to bring your own fancy glass and all of the classy vibes. Less fancy glasses will still be available 😉. And yes, we WILL have an exclusive sticker at the party!
