Mark your calendar – A Novel Night Out with the Carnegie-Stout Public Library Foundation is back!

May 14 – 5-8 p.m.

Join the Carnegie-Stout Public Library Foundation on Wednesday, May 14 from 5–8 PM at Dimensional Brewing Company for an evening of books, brews, and community support.

A Novel Night Out invites you to sip your favorite brews while members of the Library Foundation Board step behind the bar to serve (and collect tips!) all in support of the library. Come hungry, too – Pulido’s will be back this year serving up some delicious eats.

Help Us Beat Last Year’s Total

Last year’s inaugural event raised $3,400 for the Foundation. This year, we’re aiming even higher with a goal of $5,000 – and every tip and raffle ticket helps get us there.

Looking for a fun way to support the library’s upcoming renovation? This is it! Come raise a glass to our expanded Makerspace, updated Teen Zone and new kids play area! All tips and raffle proceeds directly benefit the Library Foundation.

Raffle Baskets Worth Talking About

We’ve got a dozen or so themed baskets in the works, and they’re just as clever as they are gift-worthy. A few highlights:

  • Book Clubs & Supper Clubs Unite
A basket featuring Wisconsin’s top supper club destinations, The Midwest Girl’s most iconic tee, and some fixings for some in-home old-fashioned fun!
  • Where Readers Meet Writers
Virginia Evans’s epistolary novel “The Correspondent” inspires readers to take up the old craft. This basket includes everything you need to get started with a new pen pal.
  • Bring Down the Hammer
A must for fans of classic courtroom dramas like Anatomy of a Murder and To Kill a Mockingbird.
  • The Masterpiece on the Mighty Mississippi
Dubuque history buffs will appreciate this collection from the Telegraph Herald, highlighting the city’s exciting past.
  • Oh “Deere”!
A kid-friendly favorite with a John Deere theme—perfect for future farmers and big imaginations.
  • Chef’s Kiss
This basket would make Julia Child proud. Featuring a thoughtful culinary theme, this collection would be perfect to give to the chef in your life.

Make It a Night Out

Whether you’re a regular at the library, a casual reader, or just someone who enjoys a good local brew, this is an easy (and fun) way to support a resource that benefits the entire community – especially as we look ahead to an exciting renovation.

We can’t wait to see you there!
