Every other month, the library features the work of local artists or a local artist group in the historic rotunda for the Art @ Your library® exhibit. The exhibit is open to the public during regular library hours. Works of art are also available for purchase.
The current Art @ Your Library exhibit runs from April 1-May 24 and features local artists Marianne Black and Julie Ferring. Please join us for a special Artist Reception on Friday, May 6, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. where you can meet the artists, mingle, purchase available artworks, and enjoy light refreshments.
Here is a brief introduction with the featured artists:
Julie Ferring paints scenes of nature and realistic living landscapes. Don’t miss her pelican paintings, which seem to jump off the canvas and come to life.
Marianne Black is a mixed media artist. She specializes in creating whimsical three dimensional pieces with unique found objects. Her imaginative work will draw you in.
Check out our YouTube Channel to meet the featured artists.
