C-SPL Teen Success Scholarship

The Carnegie-Stout Public Library Teen Success Scholarship will award $1,500 to a Dubuque high school senior who plans to attend college, wants to make a difference in the community, and has an interest in helping create an inclusive space for their peers at the library.

Applications are accepted January 1 through May 1, starting in January 2025 . One scholarship candidate will be selected at the end of each school year. Scholarship funds are awarded after the required service terms are completed.

Who Is Eligible:

  • High school seniors that are part of the Dubuque Community School District, Dubuque Area Homeschoolers, or Dubuque Private Schools.
  • High school students working at Carnegie-Stout Public Library may also apply.

Requirements:

  • Submit an application and 500-word essay.
  • Complete 30 hours of volunteer service time at the library within a two-year period. Acceptable volunteer work includes being an active member of the Teen Advisory Group and/or assisting the Youth Services Department during the summer.
